I'll never be able to draw like you by Names76 I'll never be able to draw like you by Names76
Hey everyone.

I know this isn't exactly art, and it isn't something I normally do. I know this would have been better off as a journal instead of a deviation, but it would of been harder to link pictures with it like I do here.

This is a subject that has come across my path countless times, it is about the line "I wish I had your talent, I'll never be able to draw like you".

Please don't misunderstand the picture, I'm not mad at those who say this line or think this way. The picture is simply my opinion on the matter, and is the best way for me to explain to others that it isn't about talent. It's about patience, learning and practice. It bothers me to see people give up on art so easily. For people to think that they're not capable of improving to the level that they want. I made this to show my own progress, and how it's completely possible, with time, to improve.

You just need to enjoy what you do, let your worries go, and let it come with time.

This is a fantastic message. It's a long, rocky road that takes years to traverse, but once you get moving on it, it's not so bad. I try to tell people that anyone can be an artist, they just have to take the first steps and try. :D

I agree wholeheartedly! My simple problem with this....latience is a virtue...that I do not have! :la: But hey, sketching random things 24/7 really does help : ))

Thank you for this, Names.
I've never seen something like this here, on dA. Things like this, just inspirational speaking, can help others.
I draw for more than 2 years now, and I'm finally feel like quitting, but I WON'T, thanks to you :)
Really, really, really big shoutout for you. Thank you.

No problem at all! I've been a fan of your art and coloring for a long time now, so I'm really happy to hear that you won't be quitting anytime soon =]. I'll look forward to seeing even more of your art ^_^.
